Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024, to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Temporary Road/Lane/Sidewalk Occupancy Application and Permit Form

(Construction, Emergency Purposes, Building Renovation and Equipment Installation)

 

If you are planning to obstruct, occupy or close the Town's Right of Way (road, lane, sidewalk or boulevard) a road occupancy approval is required.

The purpose of this form is to collect all relevant information related to the intended obstruction, occupation and closure. Please complete the form to the best of your abilities.

Upon receipt of the form, Town Staff will review the request.
