Aquatics Centre currently closed for renovations

The Aquatics Centre has been closed to the public since November 2024, to accommodate renovations to the space that would address safety concerns caused by saltwater and high humidity. These renovations were deemed essential to ensure the facility could be used safely and effectively by the community. Due to unexpected recently discovered structural issues caused by saltwater and high humidity stemming from insufficiently sized HVAC equipment installed during the original construction, the renovation work is now expected to extend closure until fall 2025. 

Project updates and a reopening date, once confirmed, will be provided through local media, the Town website (www.townofstmarys.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Twitter/X (www.twitter.com/townofstmarys).

Annual Downtown Parking Lot Permit

The Town issues parking permits for assigned parking stalls to individuals who live within the Downtown and who do not have access to overnight parking. The number of parking permits available for each parking lot are limited and are distributed based on a first come, first serve basis.

Parking Permits are offered at the following parking lots:

  • Elgin Street East Parking Lot
  • Jones Street East Parking Lot
  • Water Street North Parking Lot
  • Opera House Parking Lot

The permit fee is $78.84 plus HST.

Upon receipt the Town will process your parking permit request. A minimum of two business days are required to process the request, requests are not processed on Saturdays, Sundays or Statutory Holidays.
